IMA was created to help make that possible.
We are building a professional home that connects research and practice, removes disciplinary silos, strengthens leadership, and makes high-quality expertise more accessible to educators and systems around the world.

In July 2026, more than 450 people gathered in San Francisco for the inaugural IMA Global Summit, with more than 100 additional participants joining virtually.
Researchers learned alongside practitioners.
School teams learned alongside district, regional, and state leaders.
Experts across literacy, mathematics, behavior, SEL, mental health, early childhood, assessment, implementation, leadership, and special education came together around one shared goal:

Bringing greater clarity to MTSS.
IMA's Clarity Council will bring together leading researchers, practitioners, and system leaders to tackle one of the field's greatest challenges: creating greater shared understanding around what MTSS is, what it isn't, and what high-quality implementation requires.

Our Membership Growth Team is working toward an ambitious Year Two goal: growing IMA from 2,500+ to 10,000+ members worldwide.
Membership will remain free, because access to this professional community should not depend on an educator's ability to pay.
