IMA Team Time: From Data to Direction

A Midyear Planning Retreat for MTSS Leadership Teams

Arrive with data. Leave with direction.

Three full days for state, regional, district, network, and school leadership teams to strengthen how they work together, examine their data, and improve the systems supporting instruction, intervention, assessment, and movement across tiers.

Through expert facilitation, practical team tools, and protected planning time, your team will leave with clearer priorities, stronger processes, and an actionable improvement plan aligned with its existing goals.

Tickets go on sale Friday, August 7 at 5:00 PM PT.

Participation is intentionally limited to leadership teams.

Your Team Doesn’t Need Another Conference

Your team needs time, structure, and expert support to move the work forward.

By the middle of the school year, leadership teams have data, emerging student needs, competing priorities, and important decisions to make—but rarely enough uninterrupted time to make sense of everything together.

IMA Team Time is a facilitated working retreat built around your team, your students, your data, and your current goals.

Across three full days, your team will:

  • Strengthen its communication, norms, roles, and decision-making processes

  • Clarify how MTSS teaming connects with and strengthens current collaborative teaming structures (e.g., PLCs)

  • Examine your student outcomes and implementation fidelity data (if available)

  • Refine goals for instructional improvement

  • Strengthen progress-monitoring processes

  • Evaluate assessment practices and movement between tiers

  • Align next steps with existing and future strategic and improvement plans

  • Leave with a practical, shared plan for moving forward

This is not three days of presentations. It is three days of guided learning, honest reflection, expert consultation, and meaningful team planning.

Three Full Days. One Coherent Improvement Process.

Day 1: Teams, Assessment & Data

Strengthen how your team works together while clarifying the assessment tools, processes, and decision rules that guide MTSS. Teams will review student and implementation data, integrate academic and SEL decision-making within their PLC structures, and establish measurable student-outcome goals.

Day 2: Instruction, Support & Problem Solving

Move from data to improved practice across the full tiered continuum. Teams will strengthen Tier 1 instruction and supportive learning environments, refine intervention and progress-monitoring systems, and apply a consistent problem-solving process as student needs intensify.

Specialized breakouts will address mathematics, early literacy, secondary literacy, SEL and supportive learning environments, and school psychology and special-education eligibility decisions.

Day 3: Coherence, Alignment & Sustainability

Bring the work together by clarifying movement across tiers, aligning MTSS with current organizational goals, and translating priorities into an actionable improvement plan. The final half-day will focus on cross-system sharing, sustainable implementation, defined responsibilities, and clear next steps.
